The SIGSIM Mission

SIGSIM is the ACM Special Interest Group on Simulation. Its mission is to promote and disseminate the advancement of high quality state-of-the-art in modeling and simulation across a broad range of interests. 

Our Main Activities

SIGSIM does this by a combination of awards, special recognition given to particular conferences in terms of sponsorship and in-cooperation, and special projects (such as the PhD Colloquium at the annual Winter Simulation Conference and the Simulation Archive). We are committed to providing web-based services to its members (and simulation community at large) through the ACM Digital Library.  SIGSIM meets annually at the Winter Simulation Conference.

Member Benefits

As a member of SIGSIM you will receive the proceedings of our sponsored conferences as well as access to the SIGSIM area of the ACM Digital Library.  By joining SIGSIM you lend your support to our main activities such as the PhD Colloquium at the annual Winter Simulation Conference and the Simulation Archive.

How to Join and Volunteer

We always welcome new members and ideas.  Indicate that you would like SIGSIM membership when you join or update your ACM membership.   We also strongly encourage volunteering and we are always extremely happy for new volunteers.  If you would like to volunteer, please contact the SIGSIM Chair.  Don't worry if you can't think what you would like to do, we have plenty of ideas!
